Lettuce – Cegolaine

Description

This eye-catching, compact bibb won our hearts in our mini lettuce Trial of 2019.  What cinched its champion status? Was it the flashy, shiny, bronzy leaves? Its resistance to bolting and downy mildew? Or Cegolaine’s uniformity and impressive heft and density? Yes. Yes it was. Cegolaine Lettuce is one of the new en vogue Little Gem type lettuces, eliciting “ooo”s, “aah”s, and “cuuute”s from market and farm share customers. Almost too adorable to eat, but too crunchy and tasty not to.
