Melon – Emerald Gem

$4.25$8.00

Description

A variety of muskmelon as delicious as it is old. W. Atlee Burbee introduced the Emerald Gem Melon in 1886, describing it as “altogether unapproached in delicious flavor and luscious beyond description.” We agree. Not quite as early as PMR, but better flavor and higher yields. Expect lots of 2-3 lb fruits with creamy, orange flesh and a rich, cinnamon aroma.

Days to Maturity: 80
Latin name: Cucumis melo
Life cycle for seed saving: Annual

Planting Instructions:
Start Emerald Gem Melon indoors 4 weeks before transplanting or direct sow when soil has reached 75 degrees. Planting depth: 1/2.” Spacing: 12-18.” Row spacing: 5.’ Melons slip from vine when ripe.

All of our seed is Non-GMO and Certified Organic by Washington State Department of Agriculture.
