Zucchini – Genovese

$4.25$7.00

Description

Every year we trial several new open-pollinated zucchinis, looking for varieties that compete with the hybrids without sacrificing flavor and texture. Genovese Zucchini beautifully fits the bill.  An Italian variety with pastel-green skin and no ribbing. Much higher yielding than other open-pollinated Italian summer squash, with an open growth habit that makes for easy harvesting.  The flavor is rich and the texture smooth and tender – even when slightly overgrown! The thin skin makes for great eating but not so great shelf-life, so perhaps choose a different squash for your wholesale accounts. This squash should be consumed close to home for maximum enjoyment.
