Broad leaves with showy dense curls that get frillier with time. We fell in love with this beauty contest winning variety our first year of farming and have been growing it ever since. Tender with stunning red veins make it our favorite kale for sautés, stir-fries, egg dishes, roasts, stews and everything else you can use kale for, outside of kale chips. Leave those for the lacinato types. Another gem bred by Frank Morton at Wild Garden Seeds.
