Snap Pea – Opal Creek

$4.25$12.00

Description

We are so excited to offer this stunning yellow snap pea, bred here in the Pacific Northwest by Alan Kapular. Opal Creek Snap Pea produces high yields of slender, light yellow pods over an exceptionally long harvest period. The pods are oh-so-sweet, perfect for eating straight off the vines, chopped into salads or cooked up in a stir-fry. As pods fill out they turn to a pastel yellow-green, indicating ripeness. Named after the iconic Opal Creek watershed which supports the largest uncut stretch of old growth forest in Oregon (and where Nathaniel happened to work for a year back in 2008!).
