Description
Our sweetest winter squash and by far the favorite of all our CSA members! Oblong, 1 lb fruits with yellow-cream colored skin with dark green stripes. Semi-bush habit with impressive yields of 5-8 fruits per plant. Delicata Squash stores well and we have found that it does not require a curing stage before being eaten. No need to take the time to cut off the skins, as they are thin enough that they become quite tender when cooked. This is our household’s most frequently eaten winter squash due to its ease of cooking, its thin, edible skin and of course: The unmatched flavor!! Bred by Frank Morton.
