Description

Enticing, buttercream yellow blooms on slender branching stems. Vanilla Ice  is hands down our favorite sunflower for bouquet making on the farm. If regularly harvested, each 6’ tall plant will produce around a dozen 3-5” blooms that add lightness, whimsy and bounce to arrangements. Pollinators are also fans of these unique plants which bloom all season long.

Planting Instructions:
Direct seed Vanilla Ice Sunflower after final frost or start transplants 2-3 weeks beforehand. Seed depth: 1″.  Plant spacing: 2-3′. Keep harvesting for on-going blooms.

We grow the majority of our varieties here at Deep Harvest Farm on Whidbey Island while we purchase the rest from other small, organic Northwest seed growers.
