Cilantro- Calypso

$4.25$7.00

Description

Calypso cilantro seems to defy the physical realities of the cilantro world. While most varieties bolt when mature and require constant replanting, Calypso resists bolting 3 weeks longer than the average variety! Vigorous grower and good flavor.  Calypso cilantro is our go to variety for our CSA production on the farm.

Days to Maturity: 55 to leaf, 120 to seed
Latin Name: Coriandrum sativum
Life Cycle for seed saving: Annual

Planting Instructions:
Direct seed Calypso cilantro as soon as soil can be worked.  Optimal soil temperature for germination is 55-65°.  Seeding depth: ½”. Seeding rate: every 1”, thin to 2-4”. Row spacing 12”.

All of our seed is grown in the Pacific Northwest, Non-GMO and Certified Organic by Washington State Department of Agriculture. Additionally, our varieties are 100% Open-Pollinated, allowing you to in turn save true-to-type seed. We fully encourage you to save seed from these plants and share it widely!
