Pacific Northwest Flower Planting Calendar

Pacific Northwest Fall Planting Calendar

This calendar is laid out a bit differently than the above two calendars, as fall crops have a shorter window for planting. The date range accounts for variability in weather from year to year. On average, the “First Planting” date will yield crops in early fall while the “Final Planting” date will yield crops in later fall. Extended sunny weather through October will allow late planted crops to keep maturing. Predicting maturity dates is difficult so we often do two plantings for each crop, two weeks apart, to hedge our bets. The righthand column recommends some Deep Harvest varieties suitable for extended cool, wet weather.
