Pepper – Leibesapfel

Packet (~30 seeds)

Description

Back in 2018 we trialed over a dozen different sheepnose type pimento peppers; Leibesapfel Pepper stole the show with the largest volume of attractive, sweet fruits. A deeply-lobed, flattened red pepper with very thick flesh and juicy sweet flavor. It produces earlier than other pimentos and is perfect for our cool, short summers. Developed by a small seed company in Germany where the name Leibesapfel translates to “love apple.” Cheese peppers get their name from the Spanish Artisan cheese makers who used them for sweetness and coloring in their cheeses centuries ago.
