Heirloom! THE classic slicer cucumber. Marketmore Cucumber produces an abundance of dark-green, shiny, 8-9” fruits all summer until first frost. AND it maintains a mild flavor even under stress.  A disease resistant workhorse and a must-grow for any cucumber enthusiast.  The original Marketmore Cucumber was developed at Cornell University in 1968 by Dr. Henry Munger and hailed as a breeding breakthrough for cucumbers. For 30 years, Dr. Munger perfected Marketmore along with many other incredible vegetable varieties. In 1976, he released this vigorous strain of Marketmore which remains a favorite of gardeners and farmers alike!

Planting Instructions:
Direct seed after last frost or start indoors 3 weeks before transplant.  Optimal soil temperature for germination is 75-85°.  Seeding depth: ½”.  Plant spacing: 12-24”.  Row Spacing: 5-6 ft.

All of our seed is Non-GMO and Certified Organic by Washington State Department of Agriculture. We grow the majority of our varieties here at Deep Harvest Farm on Whidbey Island while we purchase the rest from other small, organic Northwest seed growers. Finally, all of our offerings are open-pollinated (OP) so that you too can save and share seed from these plants!
