Description

French Heirloom! Years of searching for a delicious, colorful carrot with strong vigor and top attachment led us to this diamond in the rough (err.. root in the soil?). The conical beauty, Longue Rouge Sang Carrot holds its multi-colored, sunburst exterior when cooked and boasts a sweet, crunchy flavor that is hard to find outside of the orange carrot universe. Vigorous leaf growth and strong top attachment allow for easy harvest deep into the cold, wet fall. Longue Rouge Sang claimed victory in our 2022 carrot trial of 15 yellow, red, and purple carrot varieties.
