Description
Hilmar rivals the vigor and uniformity of modern hybrid carrots and market customers go gaga for their sweet, juicy flavor. We have switched to exclusively growing Hilmar for our spring and summer bunching carrot. Bright orange color, great tip fill and excellent crunch, this is a no brainer for any market farm or garden. Not a great variety for winter field holding. Originally developed by the German company, Hild, we discovered it several years ago via Osborne Seeds (they have since dropped the variety).
